  • Bassistry Arts

    Wed 19 Oct 2022

It was great to welcome Marcel back to Englefield. This time he was joined by Cassell who played drums. Each class had a great workshop in which they did some rhythm work and learned a song which was then performed to the rest of the school. Sadly, we weren't able to invite parents to the assembly but we took videos of each class which were made available on our Shared Drive.

  • Prayer Group

    Fri 07 Oct 2022

Our Worship Group held their first prayer meeting today. They had the idea of starting the group so that children could join in with special prayers for people or events that they were thinking about or worrying about.

This will be a weekly event which we hope will give comfort and support to any pupils who are going through an anxious time.

  • House Captains in Action!

    Fri 07 Oct 2022

We held our first House meetingn of the year today. Each group spent time getting to know each other, ably led by our House Captains. They had their House photograph taken and drew pictures of their House mascots.

  • Harvest Festival

    Mon 03 Oct 2022

It was super to see a church packed full of people to celebrate our Harvest Festival. The children sang songs of thanks and praise, including everyone's favourite, 'Cauliflowers Fluffy'. There was also a reading and some beautifully written prayers. The collection of produce to be taken to New Beginnings was amazing - the charity will be delighted. This was such a great opportunity to show the children the importance of saying 'thankyou' and of being grateful for what we have whilst thinking of those who are in need in our own community.

Thank you to eveyone who donated and/or took part in our service; a special thank you to Rev Julia and her husband, Paul, for leading the service and organising the sound so well.

  • Singing at St Mark's

    Sun 02 Oct 2022

It was so lovely to be singing back at St Mark's church. Nine choir members came along to St Mark's own Harvest Festival and sang 'Cauliflowers Fluffy' and 'When We Look Up To The Sky'. The congregation all said how lovely it was to have children singing for them.

Three of the singers also read their own Harvest prayers.
