Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The younger children have been having fun imitating famous artists during out Art Week. FS2 have produced some wonderful aboriginal artwork. KS1 made sea creatures out of wire based on Alexander Calder’s mobiles and Values pictures using techniques from Andy Warhol's Pop Art. They all produced some super natural artworks following in the footsteps of Andy Goldsworthy . Year 3/4 chose to do artwork based on the work of Richard Long.
Our new ECO group has set up a litter-picking rota to keep our school grounds looking nice. Great job!
We finished this week with house meetings organised by our House Captains. They led their houses in producing 3D models of their house mascots. Some of the models need to be finished (especially Demeter's disembodied snake!) but all are looking great. Well done House Captains!
Ten Year 5 pupils headed off to Elstree this morning to watch a French play. It was a clever mix of French and English which helped the children to understand what was going on. A huge thank you to Elstree for inviting us and providing transport.
All pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 had a taste of judo today with Jason from Southern School of Judo. Some of the benefits of judo include getting fitter, learning values and having fun with friends.
Jason already runs a weekly club before school so hopefully more pupils will get the judo bug and join him.
