Ten pupils in KS2 have asked to be included in our Worship Group this year which is truly wondeful.Their role will be to develop our use of pupil-led collective worship so that it is both inclusive and inspirational, support the school council in the development of a new school prayer area, and promote our use of Space Makers to ensure our children have good opportunities for reflection.
January 8th 2020
The worship group met to plan the prayer tables for this term and to decide which assemblies they would be responsible for. They are also going to start supporting other KS2 pupils with their Key Stage assemblies to ensure they are interesting and meaningful.
October 23rd 2019
The worship group has made a plan of objects and pictures to put on the prayer tables each week to promote reflection on the theme.
October 4th 2019
The worship group has already started leading whole school worship. After each one of their assemblies, we meet together as a group to talk about the many positives and to make a 'next step' plan.
September 17th 2019
The group has already created a new prayer table for the hall which enables the children to have a focus for reflection. They have also decided on some 'call and response' to include in our acts of worship.
At the start of each assembly the following will be said:
This is the day that the Lord has made
Let us rejoice and be glad in it
Before a Bible reading we will say:
Your word is a lamp to our feet
And a light to our path
