Please refer to the attached document for information about how we use our Sports Premium Grant and the impact that this has.

2018/19

In 2018/2019 our Sports Premium Funding was £16,875.

What we have spent the money on:

Sports Coaching for outdoor games across the school and additional training for sports teams prior to tournaments. Staff participate in these sessions in order to improve their own practice

Training for the school's Year 6 Sports Ambassadors

Entry fees to competitions and transport to events including swimming for Years 3 & 4

Sports equipment and kit

Active Outdoor Learning at Rushall Farm for 10  Year 5/6 pupils

Transport and subsidy to enable the whole school to attend an outdoor activities day at Path Hill

The Impact

All our children have received specific sports coaching. In addition, so far this year, 86% of our KS2 children have participated in a sports club run at the school. Also this year, 66% of children in KS2 have represented the school in a competitive sporting event. All of our Year 3/4 pupils attended swimming lessons plus any Year 5/6 pupils who had not yet achieved the expected standard. 81% of our Year 6 cohort had achieved the required standard in swimming.

The school has taken part in competitions in:

Netball, Football, Cross Country, Tag Rugby, Multi Skills, Athletics, Cross Country, Alternative Sports, Tennis, Cricket, Swimming and even Ten Pin Bowling!

We have activated some of our least active children. 51% of our identified inactive children were active at school in 2018-19. Some of these children are now being active independently and continuing to attend active clubs during and after the school day.
