Excellent attendance at school is essential to ensure children can flourish both academically and socially. We know that attending school regularly gives your child the best start to their school life; it also creates the foundations and habits that are needed as children move into the world beyond school.
Attending school every day means:
Learning is a progressive activity; each day’s lessons build upon those of the previous days. When children have time out of school, this has a significant impact on their learning; they find it difficult to return to learning topics as they have no previous learning or knowledge to build upon.
We work closely with parents to ensure excellent attendance and punctuality so that all children can get the most out of their time at school. Our Governing Body has agreed to follow the West Berkshire Attendance Policy as it demonstrates the importance our school places on regular attendance, and because it makes the system fairer for all.
