Englefield Primary School Family and Friends
We're a team of parents, friends and staff from across the school community, working together to raise money and support projects being undertaken by the school.
The Englefield PTA is a charity that has been set up to raise vital funds to support Englefield School. Although Englefield is a State Funded school, Local Authority funds cover only the very minimum.
With your support, we can enhance the great work our school do in educating and caring for our children by purchasing new technology and equipment and funding fantastic extra trips and activities.
What has the PTA has helped fund?
Some of the ways we raise money:
Who's who in the PTA?
All parents and staff are members of the PTA. All are encouraged to attend the PTA coffee mornings and AGM, to share ideas for fundraising and help wherever you are able to at events.
We have a number of volunteers that help support the core workings of the PTA each year. For the 2017/18 academic year these are:
Co-Chairs: Kate Smith and Fiona Read
Treasurer: Alison Hawthorn
Reception: Kayleigh Cross
Year 1: Ben Fabianczyk
Year 2: Vacant
Year 3: Chloe Smith
Year 4: Helen Hooper
Year 5: Helen Phelps
Year 6: Nicky Bethell
If you are interested in volunteering or have any comments or suggestions, please speak to one of us or email:
I don’t have much time to spare, how else can I help support the school?
Fantastic Quick fundraising wins
Give as you Live - this is an online fundraising platform allowing users to shop at over 4,200 stores and raise free funds for charify. The store pays Give as you Live a percentage of your total purchase price in commission and of this, 50% is passed on to your chosen charity. Go to https://www.giveasyoulive.com/ to sign up.
Sign a Gift Aid form – this means that HMRC will give the PTA an extra 25p for every £1 donated to the charity if you are a UK tax payer. (We will be sending forms to families that we do not already hold a form for on file.)
Apply for matched sponsorship – Many employers offer to match money raised by their employees, therefore doubling the amount going to charity so please take advantage of this where you can.
Corporate Donations / Sponsorship – Many businesses commit to supporting local charities as part of their corporate responsibility policies. If you / your employer / a contact of yours works at a business that would be keen to support the school either through making donations (which could be cash donations or equipment such as laptops) or through sponsoring one of our events then we would be delighted to speak to them.
Every little helps, we are very grateful for any donations of time or money to help fundraise for our school, thank you!
