Houses

 

All the children in school belong to one of four houses:

 

Athena

Demeter

Hermes

Poseidon

 

The aim of the houses is to help all children to flourish and to learn to live well together. It also gives the older children a chance to guide and support those who are younger in their house.

Our houses meet regularly to participate in mixed-aged activities, which are planned and organised by the House Captains. Some of these are competitive. Each house is led by two or three Year 6 House Captains who have the responsibility for leading the meetings. Family members are always placed in the same house.
