Our Year 6 had an enjoyable and thought-provoking trip to London yesterday. They set off on the train and then took the tube to Westminster. After lunch in the DfE building they took part in a special children's service of remembrance at the memorial outside Westminster Abbey along with pupils from other West Berkshire schools. They even had a quick look inside the Abbey which made the trip even more special.

We held a very special service in church today, attended by some of our parents. We read Bible passages, poems and prayers and held a two minute silence to commemorate the sacrifice given by so many so that we could still live in a free country. It was a very moving and memorable occasion. Thank you to Rev Nick, Mr Smith and Mrs Perkins for their help.
