Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
At a recent Governors meeting we had an important celebration… Mrs Sheppard has been a Governor at our school for 25 years!
Devoting that much time to one school is a remarkable achievement and shows a great commitment to Englefield.
Eight of our Year 3./4 children went along to Park House School to play against 7 other schools in a tennis tournament.
They all did us proud with some real talent emerging from some of the players.
In the end we came in 4th place, just out of the medals. Well done to all ( Jess, Kai, Lucas, Maizie, Maya, Milla, Oscar and Phoebe) and thank you to the parents for supporting so well.
Thank you so much to children from choir (plus their siblings!) who came along to sing at the fayre...we were small in number but big in sound!
Thank go to Laurie, Oscar, Freya, Sammy Sarah-Renae, Isabella, Eddie, Joshua and Kai and then to Annie, Lily C, Gracie, Luke and Ella for joining us for the last two songs. Finally it was wonderful to have George P, Grace S and Jess H joining us for our last song which coincidentally was sung at their leaving services. A real family atmosphere.
Year 3 and 4 had a fabulous time on their recent residential visit to Thirtover. They enjoyed orienteering, grass-sledging, a traversing wall, a low ropes course and playing with various outdoor equipment. Making the beds was as much fun as always!
They were a super group to take away and finished off their trip with a visit to The Living Rainforest.
Well done Year 3/4 and a big thank you to the staff who gave up their time to take them.
One of the signs that summer is approaching is the start-up of our bee-keeping club under the enthusiastic and careful direction of Mrs Watts. The latest crew had a great time looking in the hives on their first session. All is looking healthy!
