Science Day

The whole school enjoyed working in classes and Houses to be biologists, chemists and physicists. FS2 found out about camouflage...looking at different patterns and finding out which could be best hidden in the undergrowth. Years 1 and 2 made a blubber glove to test insulation, Years 3 and 4 looked at density of liquids and Years 5 and 6 investigated reversible and irreversible changes with food. In the afternoon each House carried out three investigations: the dancing raisin, shapes that float and sink and finally sorting fruit into their three main groups (drupes, pomes and berries). There was a real buzz around school and much laughter...especially when the raisins danced!
