Poetry Performance Competition

Today, the whole school enjoyed a wonderful final for our poetry performance competition.

Over half term, every child in school learned a poem which they then performed in front of their class. The best from each class were selected to perform to the whole school plus our two judges: Mr Chris Gittins (Chair of Governors) and Reverend Julia Myles.

All fourteen finalists performed brilliantly and the judges had some very tough decisions to make.

In the end, our five winners were: Matilda, Ben, Austin, Ella and Ryleigh.

Well done to them and all our finalists.

Thank you and well done to Frankie and Eliza who entertained us with their poems (one in Czech),  while the judges made their decisions.

Book Week excitement will continue tomorrow with the prize draw for our wooden spoon book characters; the library silhouette competition will also be concluded.
