Years 5 and 6 visited The Oratory School today to find out all about bees. As a school with our open hives, it is important that our children know about the importance of bees and the contribution they make to our planet.
The children were taught about the roles of the drones, the workers and the queen and how honey is made by being passed through the bees' bodies...an interesting thought when you spread it on your toast!
They had a great time and were also treated to a delicious brownie.
Thank you to The Oratory for this wonderful experience.
