Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We were all so delighted to wake up to a beautiful layer of crisp white snow. Luckily it stayed cold enough for us all to play in the snow.
FS2 and KS1 had a great time on Woodland Learning this week. They did some lovely activities that gave them interesting ways to show some of our values. Throwing leaves was definitely Love of Life and hugging trees linked nicely to Love of God's World. They also spotted a sign that Christmas is on its way!
Grace in Year 6 decided to take on the role of teacher. She planned and taught a lesson on coding for her class. They had to solve some decimal additions then use the code to find a clue to an object hidden outside. The class agreed they would like Grace to be their fulltime maths teacher...sorry Miss Langston!
We are delighted to have ten pupils in our Worship Group this year. They will be supporting the KS2 children in planning their pupil-led acts of worship and will be working with the School Council to develop a prayer area for school.
Some of our pupils made fraction pizzas. They were comparing fractions and adding different types of fraction to make a whole. An exciting and very tasty lesson!
Someone was smiling on us this morning!
Well done and thank you to everyone who made such an effort to dress-up and make Children in Need such a fun day. Our class winners were Kaya, Cohen, Sebastian and Darcie.
All classes spent time during the day finding out about the charity and what it does to help disadvantaged children throughout the UK.
We were delighted to welcome Anthony from 'Westendinschools.org' who came to give each class a dance workshop based around the Diwali story. The children have been learning about the Hindu and Sikh Festival of Light and they attacked the dance routine with excitement and enthusiasm. Their movements and facial expressions to show the different characters were superb.
Our Year 5/6 children have just returned from 5 nights away in North Wales at the Rhos-y-gwaliau Outdoor Education Centre.
They had a brilliant time climbing mountains, canoeing, gorge-walking and visiting the slate mine...what a great experience. No doubt memories have been made which will last a lifetime.
