Our school has always been a place where children are known, supported and inspired to achieve their very best. We are proud of all we have achieved together and are determined to ensure our school continues to flourish.

Like all small schools, however, we face significant financial challenges. For the past three years our expenditure has exceeded the funding we receive from West Berkshire, leaving little opportunity to invest in new developments or even protect our current provision.

We have remained financially secure thanks to the generosity of our parents, the hard work of our PTA, the support of our Support Fund donors, matched funding from two generous benefactors and the excellent financial management of our Finance Officer, Mrs Scott. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has helped.

Unfortunately, the pressures continue to grow. For example, last week we learned that the Government Sports Grant, worth £16,940 a year, has been withdrawn.

And this year we have welcomed our wonderful new Headteacher, Mrs Galvin, whose vision for our school includes exciting plans to extend outdoor and environmental education. Research shows that learning outdoors boosts children's confidence, wellbeing, engagement and academic achievement. We want every child to benefit from these opportunities.

So, we want our school to do more than simply survive—we want it to thrive.

Regular monthly donations to the Support Fund give us the confidence to plan for the future while securing or increasing the number of our talented support staff. With matched funding from our sponsors:

• 60 families giving an average of £15 a month would help secure our current support staffing and provision.
• 60 families giving an average of £30 a month would enable us to increase support staff and begin developing our outdoor and environmental learning programme.
• 60 families giving an average of £45 a month would allow us to further increase support staff and fully achieve these exciting developments while supporting our ambitious school improvement plans.

Every donation has more than double the impact

Thanks to our two benefactors and Gift Aid, every £1 donated generates £2.25 for the Support Fund.
